Here are some before and after pictures of an asphalt driveway, carried out by Excel Driveways in Mallow, Co. Cork.

We started by extending the shape and size of the existing driveway and digging out the old surface away. Then we installed new kerbing around the perimeter of the whole driveway. We laid a new hardcore foundation and installed new decorative brick edges.

We also laid a narrow footpath around the house using white paving flags. Finally we poured hot asphalt on the surface of the driveway and machine rolled it down to be perfectly smooth.
